🔹 Overview

This was a high-stakes billing recovery project. The legal team lacked two full years of contemporaneous time entries for a major case. I independently scoped and led development on a tool that used email logs and metadata to reconstruct those time estimates using a custom Python script and Google Sheets. Despite not being scoped to this role, I identified the problem and designed a sustainable, scalable solution.

The result: over $3M in work was accounted for through my script, and the team submitted a conservative $1.3M billing claim based on this data, avoiding massive financial loss.

  • 0.1 hr per page of attachment if sender
  • 0.1 hr per 2 pages of attachment if recipient
  • 0.1 hr per 1000 words if reader
• Integrated raw CloudHQ email data with local file folders
